We are a home educating family, which consists of Dad (Larry), Mom (Linda) and their three children (Tyler, Brittney and Jake).
Larry, a teacher certified to teach in two provinces, is qualified and/or experienced in many areas, including Science (Biology), Special Education, Adult Education, Guidance and Math. With over 20 years experience of classroom teaching plus 6 years tutoring experience, he's had the opportunity to work with many types of students, including; special needs, adolescents, adults as well as students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of abilities, to name a few. Being very pro education, his ultimate goal is to see each person reach their fullest potential. He realizes there are many routes available for everyone to reach this goal.
Linda, has training as an Educational Assistant. Seeing the diversity in her own children, she knows it's not a one-size-fits-all route to successful education. Different learning styles, different personalities require different teaching methods.
Together, they have home educated their three children since 2002. Their two eldest children have graduated from homeschooling and are currently enjoying studying at the post-secondary level. They continue to homeschool their youngest son.
They take part in many family pursuits, one of which is operating a chocolate business. Linda's life-long passion for chocolate led to this endeavour and today the whole family is involved.
